We were set to close escrow on the new house tomorrow and move-in on Saturday. That was before a massive gas leak was detected. Initial estimates? $8,500. The entire house has to be re-piped. We don't have to pay for it. But we still have to move out of our current home on Saturday and into my parents' house while repairs are made. Which is like telling my kids we're moving to Disneyland for a week.

So, while I'm hyperventilating into a paper bag, they're dancing around shouting: THIS ROCKS! WE LOVE MOVING! LET'S MOVE EVERY YEAR!
