I'm going to Bolivia with World Vision!

Are we ever really ready when God asks us to do something that is wildly outside our carefully constructed comfort zone? I know I'm not. Sure, I can pray, read my Bible, plan and prepare but ultimately, when the moment comes and when God calls--well, there's nothing left to do but step out in obedient faith. This summer I'm shattering my safe, cozy, homebody comfort zone to answer the singular call of tagging along to Bolivia with World Vision and this ridiculously talented group of writers.

I'm humbled to join World Vision in bringing the stories of Bolivian children to you, my readers. Speaking from experience, sponsoring a child is a tangible, rewarding way to dramatically impact the impoverished life of a vulnerable little one. And World Vision serves all children and "all people regardless of religion, race, ethnicity or gender."

As you may know, "World Vision is a Christian relief, development and advocacy organization dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice."

Will you come along with me on this journey? I have to be honest and say I'm a little scared--mainly because I've never been so far away from my own children. Your support, prayers and encouragement would mean so much to me!

Our team departs for Bolivia on July 30th. I will be blogging all along the way and will have a bunch of links and easy-to-use tools for you to follow our journey.

Until then, go check out the rest of the amazing World Vision Bolivia Bloggers!

Do you currently sponsor a child? Do you have any tips, ideas, advice for international travel? :)
