One of the best things about being a big family is that my oldest daughter is getting a hands-on education in mothering.

She changes diapers, feeds bottles, rocks, cuddles and burps the babies. She talks to them, sings to them and delights in each smile and coo.

So many little girls do not have the pleasure of learning how to care for a real baby. My daughter doesn't have to play with baby dolls anymore. She has the real thing times 2!
